Thin films, deposition and epitaxy

Our customers are the European research and development laboratories, production facilities and equipment manufacturers focused on thin films in particular molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and metalorganic chemical vapour phase epitaxy (MOVPE).

Surface analysis and surface science

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) are well established analytical techniques used extensively in industry and academic research. The K-Alpha monochromated XPS system is defining a new path in both these markets. RTA Instruments has an established background in these areas and a strong network within the UK and Ireland.

Synchrotron radiation

In the synchrotron radiation market our customers are the beamline scientists and users at the synchrotrons in Europe and the USA together with equipment suppliers to that market. Products offered – x-ray diffraction crystals, x-ray mirrors, components and beamline control solutions.
